I have to be honest, when I first went to school for massage, I just thought it would be a really cool skill to have. I didn't actually know it was a career! So, it is truly a passion of mine and I am endlessly fascinated with the complexity and perfection of the human body. For my degree, I attended Florida College of Natural Health in Sarasota, FL. It is one of the most prestigious massage colleges and Florida has continued to be a leader in the field.

After graduation, I had a unique opportunity to work as an assistant to a well renowned chiropractor who had a very innovative office and is definitely a leader in his field. The knowledge and experience that I gained while working with him has proved invaluable. Apart from extensive injury identification and treatment techniques, I also learned how to read an x-ray and MRI. I feel that this has given me a great foundation, and along with my continued thirst for knowledge, I am able to provide my patients with an excellent level of care.

I love doing massage therapy because it is a rewarding profession that really helps people. My dad inspired me to explore the massage field and I discovered how much i can help people. My father was my first client and both my parents still enjoy the benefits of having a massage therapist as a daughter.

After some careful research and planning, I decided to attend Renton Technical College's massage therapy program which I thoroughly enjoyed. I have been doing massage for over two years now, and it has gone by really fast because I am constantly learning new treatments and techniques that keep every day fresh and interesting. I am also very fascinated by the body and its capability for healing and changing, and I'm always amazed at the results after even just one massage! I am very thankful for having a great environment and people to work with every day, and I think it really helps us to help others because we are happy.

I am excited to be working at North Bend Therapeutic Massage within the Valley where I have lived over twenty years and raised two daughters.

After graduating from the Brian Utting School of Massage in Seattle I went to work for the Salish Lodge & Spa. I transitioned to North Bend Therapeutic Massage to deepen my practice and learn additional injury treatment techniques. One of the best things about working here is following each client through their healing process. It is a journey I am grateful and honored to be a part of.

My philosophy centers around that we are a whole being and everything is connected. I treat every client as a whole person, taking time to listen and form a treatment plan with them, working to treat areas of concern or pain and surrounding structures. I use a layered approach often using warmth to help relax and calm the nervous system, and many techniques such as Swedish, deep tissue, Trager, myofascial release, and neuromuscular technique. I also offer heated river-stone massage, pregnancy massage and Reiki energy work.

The best part of working at North Bend Therapeutic Massage is the people. My clients are wonderful unique individuals and I am grateful for their trust. They teach me a lot. I look forward to growing with this beautiful practice.

I took the “scenic route” to the rewarding career of massage therapy. After high school I spent years traveling around the United States and Canada , and started working in musical theatre. In my twelve years as a theatre technician, I realized how important massage therapy is for the performers and dancers and I realized how important, in fact, it is for everyone.

Upon graduation from massage school in 2002 I spent 2 years working in a spa while working nights in theatre. I realized that massage was becoming more important to me and I wanted to make it a full time career. I worked for a chiropractor for 4 years, primarily with auto and work injuries and also clients with chronic pain. I learned a great deal working in a chiropractic office and was met with many challenges.

I am happy to be living in North Bend with my husband and young son and very excited about continuing my career with North Bend Therapeutic Massage. While focusing on treating the whole body, I specialize in injury treatment, deep tissue, pregnancy and relaxation massage.

I love doing massage. I put off going to massage school a number of times right after high school, but finally had the chance once again after my first child to just go for it.

I am so glad and proud of myself for pushing beyond my comfort zone and finding exactly what I love to do. Massage feels like artwork to me.

Each body is different yet we are all the same. I feel like it is a privilege to be trusted to work so closely with each client and am excited to be an instrument in empowering each individual to regain their own sense of harmony and balance. Sometimes this happens by addressing pain and at times a massage is simply an opportunity to quiet the daily chaos and reconnect with ourselves and this amazing body that carries us around.

I am the front office master.. in the summer and on school breaks. I am extremely organized and really enjoy the fun atmosphere we have in the office.

I spent my freshman year at University of Washington and I am currently enrolled at Central Washington University. I am studying to be a Physical Therapist, but first I have to get some biology and chemistry pre-requisites out of the way ;)
